Dan Rubin

President
inVentiv Patient Outcomes

Dan Rubin is President of inVentiv Patient Outcomes, with responsibility for providing strategic direction for the division and overseeing all of its business units. Before being promoted to this role, Mr. Rubin co-founded and served as CEO of Adheris, which was acquired by inVentiv in 2006. Under his direction, Adheris became the largest provider of retail-based patient adherence programs for the pharmaceutical industry.

Prior to Adheris, Mr. Rubin led several consulting engagements in the pharmaceutical, retail, high technology, and chemical industries at Corporate Decisions, Inc., a management consulting firm for the pharmaceutical industry. He has also held various management positions, including: National Sales Manager for Dynisco, LLC, a manufacturer of industrial instrumentation; Retail Market Studies Coordinator for Unocal, a major oil company; and Consultant for Motorola, where he led an internal project to evaluate the viability of a new high-tech business venture.

Mr. Rubin holds a B.S. from the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and M.S. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

John Doster

Senior Vice President and Managing Director
The Franklin Group

As Senior Vice President and Managing Director of The Franklin Group, John Doster is responsible for the oversight, positioning and growth of the company including: patient assistance programs, reimbursement services, Medicare patient services programs, transitional patient care/pharmacy and distribution services.

With more than 15 years in the biopharmaceutical industry, Mr. Doster has substantial experience in sales leadership, operations, distribution, managed markets and brand marketing. His areas of expertise include program development and execution for enhanced patient access to medications. He has designed and successfully implemented strategic support initiatives in a variety of therapeutic areas including oncology, cardiovascular, injectable products, biotech, and managed markets.

Before joining the inVentiv team, Mr. Doster worked at Aventis Pharmaceuticals where he specialized in antibiotic, respiratory and cardiovascular products. His keen leadership and strategic skills enabled him to hold various senior sales, marketing and management positions such as Director, Sales and Marketing Services and Head, Allegra Marketing, leading the marketing efforts for the flagship brand in the Respiratory Products Division. Mr. Doster holds a B.S. from Union University.

Luke Buchard, MD

President
AWAC

Luke Burchard, MD, MMM, FAAFP, DABFP is President of AWAC, LLC, a proven healthcare solutions company that couples a unique claims surveillance engine and the expertise of specialized physicians to save health plans money, while improving the quality of patient care. AWAC’s clients include health plans, employer groups, third party administrators (TPAs), MGUs and carriers.

Dr. Burchard has been with AWAC since 1996 and was one of the first physicians to join the company when AWAC was founded. Dr. Burchard has served in many capacities at AWAC, including Medical Director of iHealth™, AWAC’s nurse coaching and wellness education program, as well as Medical Director for several TPAs. As Vice President of Cost Containment, Dr. Burchard led AWAC’s cost containment team, helping to save clients nearly $1 million per week on their medical claims.

Dr. Burchard is board certified in Family Practice and Medical Management and has more than 20 years of private practice experience, including solo practice, small group and multi-specialty practices. He graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and has a Master's degree in Medical Management from Tulane University. Dr. Burchard has been on the faculty of three medical schools, and has lectured extensively on public health issues, community health education, preventive medicine, and medical management. Dr. Burchard was the recipient of the American Academy of Family Physicians’ “Public Health” Award for his extensive work in patient education.

Lynn Benzing

Chief Executive Officer

Lynn Benzing is CEO of the Patient Marketing Group, Inc., a consumer health communications company based in Princeton, New Jersey. Ms. Benzing brings over 25 years of experience in healthcare communications to this role, with specialized expertise in the application of CRM and individualization techniques to pharmaceutical marketing. She has played a role in consumer/patient marketing campaigns for dozens of prescription products in numerous disease categories.

Previously, Ms. Benzing led Direct-to-Consumer Services for San Francisco-based McKesson Corporation, a top distributor of prescription products and provider of pharmaceutical marketing services, with annual revenues exceeding $100 Billion. She has held a number of leadership positions in healthcare advertising agencies in addition to serving as Vice President of Marketing Technologies for R.R. Donnelley, a Fortune 200 global communications producer based in Chicago, where she led a division focused on healthcare as a key vertical industry target.

Ms. Benzing's educational credentials include a B.B.A. from the University of Michigan and a M.S. from Loyola University of Chicago's School of Law.
